Search bar broken?

I don't know why, but suddenly my search bar has lost its drop-down selections, has gotten narrow, has no icon, and doesn't perform searches.

Does anybody know what could have caused this? Or more importantly, how I can fix it?

I have similar problem with my Search Bar.

The Search Bar will accept the addition of search engines (via Mycroft) , and will successfully employ any of those engines during the browsing session in which they are added. But if I close Firebird, when I re-open it, only the default engine (in my case Google) remains in the drop-down box. All the others vanish. This despite the fact that they still reside in the \searchplugins subdirectory.

Any thoughts, anyone?

I'm using the Windows nightly build of 15 January 2004.

I don't know what is causing the problem for the original poster, but this http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=231203 is what you are experiencing.
