unable to change homepage in firefox

Need help to get homepage to work in firefox. Unable to save dogpile as homepage in firefox 2.0

So what happens if you go to Options/Main/Homepage and type in the new address?

I second this.
However, when I start Firefox 2.0.1 it shows the "Firefox Updated" page... I have tried clicking on all the links, restarting my computer, reinstalling Firefox, setting my homepage to something different, setting it so a blank page shows up, etc, and nothing works. Is there a way to fix this? Every time i set the homepage to something different, it doesn't save.
