COOKIES???

Post by KAY2222 »

Mozilla allows one to refuse cookies - on the surface -
They are not put in the cookie files....

But they ARE put in a *hostperm.1* file in documents and settings under Mozilla - even if you deny them access to your pc!!!!!

Mighty damned sneaky, I'd say....
And most are totally unaware of this intrusion!!!!!!!!!!!!

The hostperm.1 file stores your cookie and popup settings. If you tell a Mozilla application that a certain cookie is not wanted, it stores that information in hostperm.1. It is not an intrusion, but a way of storing preferences.
