"Request Entity Too Large" Error

Does anyone else ever get this error message?

"Request Entity Too Large"
A request entity is longer than the server can handle."

I have the latest Firefox versions on both my Mac and Win XP SP2 PC, but I get the above message only on my Mac, and out of all the sites I visit, only on nytimes.com. The error message most often appears when I select "Single page" on a multi-page NYT article. I wrote to NYT website help, and they said mine was the only report of this problem.

When I copy the URL of the requested "Single page" article and paste it into Safari, Camino or Opera, it loads normally. Although Firefox is my most-used browser, I have never gotten this error message when using other browsers. I agree with NYT help's opinion that the problem is unlikely to be with their website.

Again, I get this error message ONLY when using Firefox Mac 2.0.0.7 and ONLY on nytimes.com.

Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks a lot!

Don

Try:
Clear the cookies ('problematic' site(s) only): Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Clear the cache: Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cache: "Clear Cache Now"

Same problem w/ nytimes.com, using Firefox 3.6.3 and Windows 7. Never had the issue before the latest Firefox upgrade.

Same problem with LA Times and Firefox 13.0.1. Recent problem in past couple weeks. Persisted through a Firefox upgrade.

Weird!
