I'm having some problems here aswell.
This is a page on my website where I want to show in-browser video : http://users.pandora.be/belgatom/movie
Up to now, I have tried the following :
Fresh install of Firefox 0.8
windows media player 9.0 upgrade
Active X plugin installed as instructed above
activex.js adapted as instructed above
reg.file installed as per above
but to no avail.
A friend who tried to view the page, told me that Quicktime alternative opens the movie for him. Unfortunately even that doesn't work here.
Most of the people viewing the page will be low end users ( MS internet explorer) and it will work for them. But as I myself am a converted soul, I have a pain in my heart everytime I have to revert to IE.
Help
I want to believe!

The server is applying the wrong "mime type" to those wmv files.
