I'm assuming you didn't even bother reading my posted solution on the second page...
1.) Back up your bookmarks using Foxmarks.
2.) Uninstall Firefox.
3.) Start+R (Run) %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Extensions
4.) Delete everything in that directory.
5.) Reinstall Firefox.
People call us renegades. We're just in it for the pie.

Yes I did 'bother'. Like I said "tried uninstalling, manually deleting files Nothing works."

I cleaned it down completely. Reinstalled. Still same problem with no plugins. V2 works fine so I'll stick with it until they fix the problem.

Removing TorButton fixed it for me.

Yeah, apparently caused by TorButton (wether toggled on or off), deactivated and all cookies are kept...

I have the same problem, I don't use any TorButton, I didn't install anything.
I had this problem since 2 days, this night I decided to go back to my system backup of 2 of this month.
FF3 was working back regularly.
This morning I work a bit, then suddenly the computer restarts (I was browsing probably some heavy site, pages were loading, I like to leave the browser load pages of photos from NASA and such).
After that, now I am again in this condition.
This has something to do with crashes of the application.

I wonder how this can be possible. I mean, this shit is being used by MILLION of people.
Do you think it's possible that nobody in the beta testers team saw this problem?
It's quite a big thing, I don't think that nobody occured onto it.

I solved it myself: I made a new profile and copied manually one by one all the files (except cookies of course, which I copied all at once).
Copying all the profile dir together didn't work.
I copied first all the dirs one by one, and all was still working.
But if I copied the rest of the main dir of the profile all at once it kept logging out.

So I guess this must be a plug-in incompatibility that mangles something up when FF3 crashes (then the config files are rebuilt one by one if you copy them alone).
If anyone has wish to confirm this, it would be nice.

I still wonder how they decided to release this software already.

Oh and by the way, I just uncovered that if you launch FF3 using a URL file with Profile selection on it will just launch the task in the background and show nothing...

I hope to help anybody out there saying that I was using Session Manager plugin and for some reason it was working (imported automatically in FF3 at first install), while now I can see in the extensions that it cannot be enabled because it is incompatible with FF3.

^ Do you have the latest version? It's compatible on my side. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2324

I downloaded it couple of hours ago (I had a search between the sweet plugins).
Before I had the one coming from my FF2 installation.

CaptainWesker wrote:Weird. All the Add-on's I listed above are now reinstalled on my (working) installation of Firefox 3. So my solution is as follows:
1.) Back up your bookmarks using Foxmarks.
2.) Uninstall Firefox.
3.) Start+R (Run) %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Extensions
4.) Delete everything in that directory.
5.) Reinstall Firefox.

Thanks CaptainWesker for the solution
It is working perfectly fine now

I've got a strange version of this... I'm being logged out at midnight. I log in one day, and at 12:01 AM I'm logged out of everything. I ttried deleting the cookies.txt and the other cookies file, and I'd like to hold on to my extensions, themes and such. Is there a fix yet?

The thing is, FF3 Final has many serious bugs that WAS NOT present in the release candidate 1 and 2.
Like some add-ons claims not to be compatible on one pc, and running fine on others, both running FF3 final.
Others cannot install add-ons at all, and sometimes add-ons gets uninstalled while upgrading.
