Is IETab a bad extension? ( Memory leak prone? Or is it safe? )

I use gmail every day, and it doesn't crash FF for me.

Using Kaspersky: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?s= ... etlastpost

I believe it has something to do with their keyboard monitor

I'm having multiple crashes daily using FF3; and they all occur when loading/closing/exiting Gmail.

Here are some of my most recent crash reports:

http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/i ... 1cc45a2ce4
http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/i ... 1a4bd43ed6
http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/i ... 13211cbf8a

I'm not using Kaspersky. I have tried disabling ALL add-ons, but it still crashes.

Same issue here.

Now, until mayor FF3 update, I assume to work with GMail in Opera or sadly, iExplore.

I have been finding Gmail to be just as bad in IE.

I did the flash uninstall/install bit to, I clear my cache daily, I clear my cookies if not daily at least several times a week.

Gmail in the Older version seems to be fine though. But certainly when gmail hangs, firefox 3 continues to run in processes and does not terminate other than with an alt ctrl del for me :(
I turned to Shoogar, "This could be serious."
"Lant, you are a fool. This is already serious."

Yes, the older version of Gmail is cool -- no crashing. The problem is, Gmail defaults to the newer version, then crashes. BUT...

Here's a link to get into the older version straight away:

Once you're in, bookmark the page to your toolbar and you're all set... hopefully.

FYI For the KIS folks
ok i think i can fully confirm that at least the issue with the clicking on the "bookmarks" is caused by virtual keyboard. as soon as i have disabled mzvkbd.dll using sysinternals autoruns (in autoruns you will find it under the AppInit tab) the problem is gone (before i was able to reproduce it every time). over the next day or two i will see how it is with the crashes when mzvkbd.dll is disabled.

You could also do that by typing "msconfig" in the run box (Start --> Run) and finding it.

Well, at least I'm not alone.. but I can't believe they let FF3 release with such a major problem? FF2 never had ANY problems for me, yet FF3 crashes multiple times per day because of this Gmail issue. Extremely annoying.

I could keep putting more links to recent crashes, but I'm not sure what that would accomplish.

I've never had a problem with gmail in FF3, even with the nightly builds. I wouldn't rush to blame the developers since this isn't a widespread thing.

FF3 keeps crashing with my gmail tab in there. IT's getting really annoying. This is very much an issue on my WinXP Home edition, not so much on the professional edition of WinXP. Is there a solution?

Are you using the older or newer Gmail?
