Hi there.
Each time I coerce to close Firefox3 with Task Manager (in windows) Firefox's cache clear.
In Firefox2 I used Cache Fixer add on, but FF3 doesn't support it.

How can we prevent to clearing FF3 cache ? :?

Maybe try not 'force' closing Firefox. Firefox 3.0 has some shut-down housekeeping that has to take place to save your session, bookmark updates, flush your cache and many other tasks.

Why are you having to 'force' close it in the first place ?
Have you tried running Firefox in Firefox safe-mode to see if the cache is flushed on close ?
Have you checked your settings for Clear Private Data - is it set to clear your History/cache on close ?

I'm using Cache Fixer in Firefox 3. You'll need to set the following preferences in about:config to install it:

extensions.checkCompatibilit - false
extensions.checkUpdateSecurity - false

Edit: ^ extensions.checkCompatibility - false

I don't think Cache Fixer is needed anymore in Firefox 3.0 I've crashed hundreds of times during the testing and run-up to the release of 3.0 and due to the new places.sqlite - cache is never destroyed anymore, at least not that I've encountered.

Ooops! I came home from work and for some reason Firefox had crashed, I looked and indeed the cache was flushed. Never noticed that before, maybe its because I use the built-in sessionstore and keep history at the default 90days..
