How can i make Firefox open in my external monitor?
Now it always opens in my laptop monitor. My other programs remember where they were last used, Firefox doesn't.

Reduce firefox from full screen, move it to the monitor you want it to appear on. Close firefox. Don't make it full screen before closing. Then open and make fullscreen and your away.

I had just the opposite problem, Firefox always opened on my second monitor even when I moved it to the first and then closed it. I found that by setting Firefox to full screen (which I never normally use) on my main monitor, and closing as fullscreen, When it re-opened it was on the main monitor how I wanted. All Better!
There is in Firefox 3.0.4.

I had installed 2 monitor management programs: UltraMon and Display Fusion. I uninstalled both, and did some serious registry clean-up to get rid of the UltraMon entries (created restore point first of course). Then my problem went away and Firefox remembered the last opened monitor even if maximized when closed.

I spoke too soon - now instead of the main monitor, Firefox now always opens on my secondary. Oh well, that's where I want it anyway. But I apparently have not solved anyone's problem....

Well my problem is solved. Kept opening op my TV witch is in another room. Closing FF not maximized on the primary screen did the trick.

Same for me.
Closing Firefox MAXIMISED and it (or the OS - Vista) doesn't remember the screen. Restoring down and/or minimising and then closing seems to make it "stick". Then I can Open, Maximise and Close and it remembers.
