No, maxrequests is capped at 8 in the code of Firefox. So any value greater than 8 is considered as 8.

It works only if the server can handle it. Several can not which leads to a broken page.
Think for yourself.
Otherwise you have to believe what other people tell you.

Basically... Leave the preference as it is.... Defaults are chosen for a reason....

To prove the maxrequests is hard coded at 8 for upper limit no matter the higher number.

108 // some default values
109 //-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
110
111 // hard upper limit on the number of requests that can be pipelined
112 #define NS_HTTP_MAX_PIPELINED_REQUESTS 8

This is for Firefox 3.0 http://mxr.mozilla.org/firefox/source/n ... Http.h#108
For Firefox 2.0 http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla1.8/sourc ... Http.h#108

Enter the code exactly as it appears. All letters are case insensitive, there is no zero.
