You say you have an asus- what network card do you have installed? Have you tried disabling the internal card and using an external network card?

All of you that are having this problem in all browsers are having system related issues, not Firefox issues. You need to be in a different forum. If you are all on Asus machines, then I suggest contacting Asus.
