This site (http://globaleconomicanalysis.blogspot. ... to-24.html) uses JS-Kit for commenting. Whenever I open or refresh the pop-up comment window I get the following message after about 15-20 seconds:

A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Script: chrome://unshorten/content/overlay.js:82

I always click Stop Script and everything is normal after that until the next refresh.

I wrote to JS-Kit support and the author but haven't received any replies. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this annoying message and delay?

Using FF 3.0.3.

In about:config you can change the value of "dom.max_script_run_time" to a higher number or 0 (unlimited time).

Thanks. But since changing this value affects all of FF, I am not sure that this would a good solution.

This site has had continuing and ongoing problems with JS-Kit. I am not sure why they keep using them.

I've located the source of the problem. It was the FF extension called Unshorten v1.3 [ http://www.unshorten.com/extensions.html ]. Disabling this extension resolved the problem.
