Yes the culprit is ask.com, it come with many installation packages e.g. bit torrent, COMODO firewall etc. First uninstall the ask.com toolbar and check if the problem is solved, if not yet then u need to uninstall firefox and reinstall it to some other directory not in the default directory. Like if e.g. initially firefox was installed at "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" now reinstall it to "C:\Program Files\Firefox New" etc. by choosing custom installation while installing firefox.
Yes it was the ask.com toolbar as many are stating so i have just uninstalled it from the firefox addons but im going to completely remove it from my computer via the add/remove programs, i got the tool when installing zonealarm firewall, thank you guys for pointing it out especially dav4is
