Hi
I can't delete/rename/move some bookmark in FF3 and nothing happens when I click on it.
The Bookmark Backup generates JSON file, but no one FF3 can't restore it ("Unable to...")
It seems to me, that Spyware Doctor kill my bookmarks, but don't delete it entirely - leaves the nonfunctional link name in the bookmark list...
Any idea, how to clear/repair Bookmark list?

Try the solutions here:

or here:

Cannot Delete a Bookmark
If you just want to "clear" the bookmarks list and start fresh, you can start in Firefox Safe Mode (NOT Windows safe mode). Select the Firefox Safe Mode option, "Reset bookmarks to Firefox defaults", and choose "Make Changes and Restart". This will reset the bookmarks in the "places.sqlite" file but will retain your browsing history (however, this may not fix other problems caused by a damaged "places.sqlite" file). You can then try importing a bookmarks.HTML file or restoring your bookmarks from a JSON backup (assuming your backups aren't also damaged).

Re: Firefox Bookmarks Problem
Is there any option to clear all problematic link from current bookmark, and keep others intact?
Please note, that I can't export bookmarks in any form (FF will not generate bookmarks.html, JSON file is generated but not imported by any FF) and the bookmarks.html file in the profile folder is too old to restore from it.
If I try to restore manually from a profile folder backup, which files should I overwrite with older ones?
Thanks for the answer

Re: Firefox Bookmarks Problem
Bug 457441 - Firefox will NOT Export bookmarks html file is marked "blocking Firefox 3.1" so that issue should be fixed when Firefox 3.1 is released.
As a workaround, try the Foxmarks extension. I added info with reference links on that here:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_export_bookmarks_to_HTML_file_-_Firefox
You can manually restore "places.sqlite" from a profile backup. See:

Re: Firefox Bookmarks Problem
Is there any tool to check the integrity of the bookmark list (places.sqlite) and fix the errors if occurs?
I restored my old profile folder from a week ago, but I found at least one problematic link there too.
How to find out - not manually - which links are corrupted?

Re: Firefox Bookmarks Problem
In my case the JSON file exported by FF is corrupted, that's the reason why not possible to import it back.
On the other hand, FF manage the Bookmark list without problem: read, write, modify the content (except that one dead item). It looks like that FF ignore the errors in places.sqlite structure, and no way to fix them.
