Yahoo mail stopped working

I can access my yahoo mail in a browser or on my phone, but a couple of days ago, it stopped downloading to my regular email, which is T'bird. I have tried fixing it, but nothing seems to work. It keeps rejecting my password.

Hi, I'm not a Thunderbird guru, but,
Did you happen to see the report that Yahoo had been hacked & a whole heap of personal info had been pilfered?

Have you reset your Yahoo passwords etc?

Try removing the old one from Thunderbird, close it & go to your Yahoo mail again.

A forum search brings a few similar issues on not remembering passwords & the like. ------------------------------->>
If that does not work, wait for a more experienced user to assist.

I finally decided to change my password and got it working. Thanks for the suggestion.
