Thunderbird 52.6.0 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 16.04.3. I've dragged & dropped all my 'collected' addresses to the Personal address book, closed & reopened Thunderbird, & it still won't show remote images. I know the address is in there.
Ideally, this would work _and_ I wouldn't have to do the drag & drop step. Is there maybe an extension that would take care of this so it just works?

Do you have View/Message Body As set to Original HTML?

Remote contact may be blocked by the mail provider, in which case it often helps to whitelist senders on the webmail access page.

Re: Blocked remote content
Is the address that has blocked content an exception in Edit/Preferences/Privacy/Mail Content? I think that setting has replaced the old address book options for remote content.

Re: Blocked remote content
That's the problem- it seems to be all controlled there now & no longer allows to automatically allow address book entries. I have to create an exception for each & every one as they come up blocked.sfhowes wrote:an exception in Edit/Preferences/Privacy/Mail Content that setting has replaced the old address book options for remote content.
