Hello,

I have the following rule with this order but for unknown reason it is moved but not marked as read :

When a message matches this filter the actions will be run in this order:

1. Mark As Read
2. Move Message to MyFolder on MyAccount on example.org

Am I missing something?

OS: LM17
TB: 52.6.0 (64bits)

Thank you.

Reason: Added [Linux] to the title.

Open Thunderbird Preferences/Display/Advanced -
There should be a time setting under the Reading heading or an automatic setting for when the message is displayed.

But his question is about a filter action. This setting should not come into it until the message is displayed, like any other message.

@makaiguy - thought maybe he missed the global preference setting,
Didn't necessarily understand filter and mistook the global setting as filter.
On reflection could the filter be confusing the setting since they are similar/same?

Thank you for your answers.
I had not enabled notification so my answer is late, sorry.

@Grumpus - I've tried what you said but it did not fix the issue.

See if this helps:

Right-click the destination folder and select Properties | Repair folders.

Perform that same Repair action on the source folder.

First backup your profile -- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_backup
Close Thunderbird and navigate to your Profile Folder ( http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder ). Find the file named Inbox with the extension msf, (that is, Inbox.msf.) Note that there will be two files with the name but only one of these will have the MSF extension. Delete the file with the MSF extension. Restart Thunderbird, compact all folders, and see if things are back to normal. Note that the MSF files do NOT contain your messages. They are, for lack of a better term, an index file and will be recreated by Thunderbird as required.
