When the reply list button is used, it does not get the address from the reply-to header. Which header does it use? TIA.

I don't have a message handy that I can use control-U to look at the raw message and find out. I think the answer is in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45715 but they discussed different alternatives in there for so long its not obvious what they settled on. Comment 190 seems to imply it uses the List-Post: header if that is present. That is consistent with whats in http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2369.html . There is also the issue of what does it fall back to if that header is missing, and what do you do if there is a Resent-From: header.

Some of the various mailing list managers documentation discuss what should be done, including some edge cases you probably don't care about. I'd assume Thunderbird tries to be consistent with mailman, the GNU mailing list manager, due to its popularity and it being mentioned in that bug report. https://wiki.list.org/DOC/Mailman 2.1 List Administrators Manual#General_Options
