Hi,
In get an error, see attachment, which makes it impossible for me to send mails anymore. Obviously I didn't change anything so would not know how to change it back.
Any help is much appreciated.
Kindest regards, Leo.
P.S. Unfortunately I cannot add an attachment.

Re: Outgoing server failed
Who is the email provider?
What version of Thunderbird?
What settings do you currently have for that account's outgoing (SMTP) server?

Re: Outgoing server failed
In the actual user name entry in Thunderbird, is there an @ where you have the "at" listed in the above example?

Yep.
You wrote: "Without posting your full email address,". That's why I changed the @.

Hi,
I think my issue is related to the use of a VPN (surfshark). When I switched it off all was okay, if switched on couldn't send mails anymore.
I have turned to Surfshark helpdesk for specific help.
Thanls again for yours.
Kindest regards, Leo

https://surfshark.com/features/split-tunneling
See if you can enable split tunneling, That lets you specify which applications use the vpn rather than having everything using it.
