Deleted messages, but it remains in Trash/myaccount (Linux)

I have used search function to delete certain messages, it remained visible in Trash folder and its sub-folder my@mail.tld
Despite restart. I have tried to remove Trash and Trash.msf files according to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ca ... e-messages but that just empty the folder.

So what to try to really remove the messages from Trash / my@mail.tld
Messages are no longer found using Thunderbird search, yet are displayed in the folder.

I have tried also maintenance option on the folder and folder repair option inside folder properties, restart, no effect.

My TB: 102.11.0 (64 bitů) - Debian stable package

that extension ( .tld ) is not one I normally see associated with Thunderbird. How is the account set up in Thunderbird, as POP or IMAP?

That *.tld domain was just an example (obviously for privacy rerason do not want to share my domain). Account is POP.

First, backup your Profile ( http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_backup )

Create a new sub-folder under Local Folders. Move all of the messages currently in your Trash to that new subfolder.

Confirm that you have made the recommended backup of your Profile.

Close Thunderbird and navigate to the \Mail sub-folder of your Profile folder. Delete both the file Trash.msf and the file Trash with no extension.

Restart Thunderbird and you may find a new, empty Trash folder in place. If not, delete any message from any folder. Copy any messages you MUST have in your Trash from the sub-folder created above to the Trash. Compact the Trash after those messages are copied in.
