Re: ImapMail
What option do you have selected under Thunderbird menu path Tools->Account Settings->Server Settings->When i delete a message?
Under Thunderbird menu path Tools->Account Settings->Synchronization & Storage, do you have the option for message synchronizing selected at the top of that dialogue box?

Re: ImapMail
I don't understand that second response as that is not the complete text of the dialogue. After "Move it to this folder" what is indicated?
In Thunderbird use menu path File->Compact Folders.
In Thunderbird use menu path File->Compact Folders.

Hi,
I always compact folders.
I found that I have "Important" file which is 93GByte.
What does it mean ?
Do I need it ?

Additional information:
I moved the file to an external drive.
When the program works in the background, an "important" file is opened again and it is growing all the time, even if no message comes in.
If I close the software the file stops growing.

Re: ImapMail
Yes. It's a Google account (Gmail).
The file path is "D:\Thunderbird\Profiles\Avner\ImapMail\imap.gmail.com"

Re: ImapMail
That "Important" entry is not a native Thunderbird element but represents one of the "folders" (actually, labels) that exist on the Gmail IMAP server. You can use menu path Tools->Account Settings->Synchronization & Storage->click on the "Advanced" button->uncheck the line for "Important" to disconnect the "folder" from Thunderbird. Next right check on the name of the account in the left hand pane of the main Thunderbird window and select "Subscribe" from the context menu displayed. Uncheck the "Important" entry in that list as well.
