Still it does not work, and curiously when I open the signature.html file, instead of the images , a red cross appear. If I copy file and the images to another directory, they appear.
Below is the code generated by TB.

<p><img src="carta.gif"><br>
Yoram David<br>
A partado 15<br>
My address<br>
Portugal</p>
<img src="telpreto.gif">/<img src="fax.gif"><br>
My phone number

Thanks,
Yoram

You need to point to your image source:

Code: Select all

<img src="file:///c:/directory/image.png">
Win XP Pro SP1
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4
Thunderbird version 2.0.0.0 (20070326)

I have this working fine (i.e. using a locally stored image as part of the signature), but only when I Write a message and not when I Reply to a message.

On Reply, Thunderbird is adding the parameter "moz-do-not-end=true" to the <img> tag. It's possible to delete this parameter by selecting the image and going to Insert->Image->Advanced Edit... and deleting it. Then it gets sent, but that's hardly a convenient workaround! The parameter is not there when I Write a message.

Anyone know why the inconsistency between Write and Reply, or more importantly how to fix it?

Sending image links

Post by Tanja Petri »

Hi!
I had the same problem (There was a problem including the file "blah" and so on), and here's the answer I found on the web:
To send a single image link in one message, just do the following:
1. )In the "Image Properties" window on the "location" tab choose "advanced edit".
2.) Add an HTML Attribute "moz-do-not-send" with the value "true".
That will do the trick, but it's quite a lot of work to do this with every message, e.g., in a signature. The solution for an html signature file looks like this:

Code: Select all

<img moz-do-not-send="true" src"http://www.example.com/image.gif">
and whatever other attributes you choose. I wanted to add an ICQ Status Indicator to my signature, so there's no use in downloading the file, since the image changes with my ICQ on- and offline status. This worked for me.

Greetings
Tanja

My signature HTML is:

<![if !vml]><img border=0 width=84 height=118
src="FirmaCert_file/image004.jpg" v:shapes="_x0000_i1026"><![endif]><o:p></o:p></span></p>

but it doesn't work. I've tried with "image004.png" and %path%/FirmaCert_file/[....Signature..], but it's the same. If I open the HTML file it's correct, but in the Thunderbird window the image isn't visible....
How I can do?
Thanks

Add link to the company's logo

Post by scostner »

Hello..

I am not the expert with the Thunderbird or setting up into some computer language. Anyway, I need someone to tell how can I set up a link that will take a customer to the website when they click on the company's logo on the signature. I already set up my signature along with the logo but I need to creat a link where you can click on the logo which leads to the company's website.

Can anyone help me on the setting? It would be greatly appreciated if you can send me an email at sam.costner@hamiltonrelay.com.

Many thanks,

Sam
