When I tried to run Thunderbird, I got the following error message:
thunderbird.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point PK11_GetPBECryptoMechanism could not be located in the dynamic link library nss3.dll.
How can I fix the error? Can I reinstall Thunderbird without losing the mails?

You can re-install Thunderbird without losing your profile (which has your mail, settings and address books). However, if you're worried back it up first using Mozbackup.
