I am receiving the following error message when a send an e-mail:
"bill_birth is not a valid e-mail address because it is not of the form user@host. You must correct it before sending the e-mail."
The e-mail address bill_birth is an address list of 52 names that I created in my Address Book. The list is an address book at the same directory level as Personal Address Book.
I suspect that the problem arises from the fact that bill_birth exists at the same level as Personal Address Book and not as one of its subdirectories. I have created a subdirectory with the name bill_subbirth but I cannot find a way to import bill_birth into bill_subbirth. I exported bill_birth to a backup file in both csv and ldif formats. The import dialog mentions Communicator 4.x, Eudora, Outlook and Outlook Express, but not ldif or csv.
Can someone please help me out of this mess? Thanks, Bill

Re: email from address list not being sent
I suspect its because you're trying to use a email address without a domain (such as a internal email address within your company), rather than how you organized the address books. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Not_a_valid_e ... ser%40host
