Hi all, how does one display only unstarred messages in the Inbox?
Thanks!

Re: Show only unstarred messages
That is quite a workaround! For that matter I could simply sort on Starred then move the unstarred messages to another folder.
But rather than a clumsy workaround, does the Quick Filter bar let one perform !searches?

What about using the Search functionality? Menu path Edit->Find->Search Messages (or press Ctrl+Shift+F) then select "Status"+"Isn't"+"Starred".
Or you could create a custom "View" filter using menu path View->Messages->Customize.

In that view one cannot see the message body, only the header details. However, I did save a search (why didn't I think of that before) and that fits my needs. Thanks!

Interestingly, I don't have View -> Messages or anything else that is similar. This is Thunderbird 3.1.10 as installed by Kubuntu. I have a few extensions, but nothing that I think would affect that.
Thanks.

Re: Show only unstarred messages
You might have to add the "View" button to the toolbar in order to get that functionality, although I would expect the menu option to remain, even if the button was not used on the toolbar.

Re: Show only unstarred messages
Dan, you are right, only after adding the View button did I get the menu item mentioned.
The View button replaces the Quick Filter bar for me and lets me add a !starred custom view. This is exactly what I needed, thanks! The fact that it saves space is nice too.
Have a great week!
