Re: Send message error (possible abuse - Yahoo)
I did the #fffff change and was able to both send and reply. However I saved a msg in my drafts folder that would not send before the change and when I just tried to send it from my drafts folder it still would not go.

Re: Send message error (possible abuse - Yahoo)
That's because the messages in the drafts folder are already formatted with the "wrong" background-color definition. Maybe using Forward instead of that message rather than reopening it, then removing the header table resolves the issue, replacing it with the new background color?

Absolutely correct. I did not open the draft, simply did a right click, forwarded it and Voila! Thank you!

This also works
1. Click Format on the Menu bar
2. Click Page Colors and Background...
3. Select Reader's default colors (Don't set colors in page)
4. Click OK

Re: Send message error (possible abuse - Yahoo)
Thanks for the ffffff fix! This was driving me crazy since yesterday afternoon.
I did find out through this that
smtp.att.yahoo.com
and
outbound.att.net
are equivalent SMTP servers.

Re: Send message error (possible abuse - Yahoo)
I found a solution. Go in TB to Tools-Account Settings-Server Settings- then put 465 in Port Field. That should fix the problem. For some weird reason the port went to default number (995)!!!

I tried this last night, and it did not fix the problem for me. I had been using 995 for years, and switched to 465 last night in an effort to come up with something, but to no avail. Bpindar's fix resolves the issue completely.

Re: Send message error (possible abuse - Yahoo)
To bpindar and others who worked out a satisfactory solution, a big thank you. To Yahoo's help, which did nothing to help me to send emails, is the reason you did not send the email response you promised to send in 24 hrs to my query that you were using Thunderbird and your own smtp server or because your help service is either non-existent or too lazy to reply?
