Possible to change filelink advertisement text?

Post by jschneider373 »

Is it possible to change/remove the filelink advertisement text:
Mozilla Thunderbird makes it easy to share large files over email.

I appreciate the plug for Thunderbird, but it seems a bit less than professional in my emails.

Kind regards,

Where are you seeing that filelink? It's not part of a standard Thunderbird installation.

The message has to do with the cloud attachment feature.

You can change the string with the custom-strings.txt file. (not tested)

Code: Select all

chrome%3A//messenger/locale/messengercompose/composeMsgs.properties#cloudAttachmentListFooter=Cowabunga!

Thank you for the answer. By creating the file custom-strings.txt in my installation/chrome directory and including that string, then a line break after the last custom string I was able to customize the output. Very helpful!
