I think I have a problem. Occasionally mail does not appear to be sent. I get no error messages & the only way I know this has happened is that the recipient eventually calls me to ask what has happened to their order. The mail always appears in my "Sent Mail" folder. It seems to be fairly random - ie, it does not depend on the recipient.
System is running Ubuntu 14.04, Thunderbird 38.5.1
I have an duplicate account set up on TheBat! in a VM running Windows XP which works flawlessly so I am pretty certain it is not at my ISP's end.
If anyone can suggest how to go about finding out what is occurring I would appreciate the help.
Other similar problems I have found by searching all seem to come with nice, helpful error messages

Re: SOME mail not sending
Moving to Thunderbird Support...
&, from what you said, if the message/s are in your Sent Mail Folder, then it's not a Thunderbird error, as it has done it's job.
It could be at the recipients end.
Wait for a guru to come along.

"It could be at the recipients end."
It could be BUT it is more than one recipient and there is no "bounce" message coming back from their mail server.

Have those recipients checked their Spam folders?
