Hello
I have installed Thunderbird on my PC twice and in both cases I have never been able to open http: hyperlinks but have always been able to open https: links.
So for the last couple of years I've had to cut and paste the link in the browser.
When I click on the link there are no errors so nothing happens.
I have tried safe mode and have also tried changing the following to true without success.
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.ftp;false
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.http;false
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.https;false
