Hi
I need to stop TB from launching when I launch Win. I have checked Task Manager, where it already says disabled. I have checked Preferences but cannot find any entries. Since there is no Start Menu in this Win version, I suspect that it is a Win Registry entry. Anyone knows how to make TB start manually, please?
Thanks
Paul

Re: Disable Thunderbird launching at Win8.1 launch
Did you check if its in the startup folder? That's the most likely reason. See http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-ti ... windows-8/ .
I currently use autoruns to manage what gets started up. Before that I used CodeStuff's "Starter" (which you would probably prefer). Both are available at http://www.snapfiles.com/software/system/startup.html and know how to let you manage settings to start programs based on registry settings, startup folders, task scheduler, windows service etc. using checkboxes in one user interface. That makes it easy to undo any changes you make.
