emails older than 15/11 have disappeared

Hi,

I have 3 accounts setup in thunderbird.
All of them are pop3.
All the emails prior to 15/11/2016 have disappeared.
I've checked all the details in this url:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Disappearing_mail

And it seems to be alright, except for a duplicated folder account which I have deleted.
I dont have the files in my server already.
This happened recently.

To confirm, all messages prior to 15 November of last year have disappeared from all three accounts. Is that right?
Do you have a back up of that profile?
If you close Thunderbird and open a message file (Inbox or other) in a text editor is the data of the earlier messages present?
