Hi All,
I've seen several of these threads on here. None of the suggestions made in those threads have worked for me.
I am certain the software is talking to the server as I changed the password and TB notified me the password did not work. I updated the password. No more error for password but still no downloads. The control panel is telling me I have 71 emails pending to download.
I tried deleting the .msf file for my profile and that did not work.
I restarted the computer, no dice.
Any other suggestions other than backing up email and creating a whole new profile and starting from scratch?

Re: Thunderbird Not Downloading Emails
How is the account set up in Thunderbird, as POP or IMAP? Find out using menu path Tools->Account Settings->Server Settings->Server Type at the top right of the dialogue.
Have you tried logging onto the server using a browser and deleting the oldest message not yet downloaded to Thunderbird? (Sometimes a message with a malformed header can block Thunderbird's download of the messages on the server.)

It's setup as POP. I'll try the oldest message idea.
