Not suitable for message storage error. [Linux]

Post by Krusty586 »

Hi all,

I've just upgraded to OpenSuse Leap 42.2 and installed Thunderbird 45.8.0.

I keep my Tbird profile on separate partition to /home to make it more accessible if I'm changing distros/upgrading, etc.

I have approx 6 accounts in Tbird, a mixture of POP and Imap. So I fired up profile manager, created a new profile and added my existing profile folder. When i started up Tbird, none of the emails from my folder appeared.
I then was able to point to the folder locations for the POP accounts and they were all accepted by thunderbird, and all emails and folders duly appeared.

Where I have problems is with Tbird not accepting the folder locations for my imap accounts within my profile. But if I point to the folder locations within a backup of my profile in a different drive, all emails, etc show up fine.
I've tried forcing Thunderbird to accept the folder locations I want to use by editing prefs.js, but no go.

I'm out of ideas. Where do I go from here?

Thanks.
