All of a sudden, I had a change in searching mails behavior.
When I search my emails I get results that usually don't include (actually .... maybe one out of one thousand!) the emails I sent. That is, TB doesn't find the emails in my "SENT" mailbox.
Moreover, even if it finds what I'm looking for, when I choose the "view as a list" option, TB don't show emails sent! I get the list of the emails I received only.
What's happening? I gave a look through preferences and settings but I didn't find anything that could explain what is happening.
(Running TB 45.8.0 - Macbook running OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan)
TIA
Alberto

Re: Searching emails. [Mac]
With Thunderbird closed, navigate to the profile folder ( http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird ) and locate and delete the file global-messages-db.sqlite. That's the index file for the Global Search function and when it is corrupted or out of synch with the message data, search results may not be valid. Launch Thunderbird and allow some time for Thunderbird to rebuild the index file.
