Disable error notification messages
Is there a way to permanently disable error notifications, such as outgoing message SMTP errors etc?

Re: Disable error notification messages
Because of the vexing error notifications such that popup every now and then that thunderbird couldn't acess smtp, or transaction was terminated, but in a second it sends perfectly fine. it is a sort of a glitch combined with yahoo server response time obviously and it is so annoying when it keeps on coming up every time

Re: Disable error notification messages
Then maybe you ought to extend the timeout time before such notifications pop up.
Menu Path:
Enter timeout in the Filter bar to limit display to just options containing timeout.
Double-click on the mailnews.tcptimeout entry and set to a higher value.
The default value is 100, experiment to find a value high enough not to routinely trip premature notifications, but will still notify you if there is an abnormal delay.
Menu Path:
- [If running on Windows]: Tools | Options, or
[If running on OSX]: Thunderbird | Preferences, or
[If running on Linux]: Edit | Options
.. then Advanced | General | Config Editor
