System restore & Thunderbird:

Post by SteelyDon »

Will Win7 System Restore take T'bird back to yesterday's version, and rid me of today's update?

Thank you.

https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/11130/r ... windows-7/ claims you can, but I don't remember the "volume shadow copy service" being enabled by default in windows 7. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Go_back_to_an ... hunderbird if you want to go back to an earlier version. That will work.

Thank you. My wife received a friendly reminder that Thunderbird 52 was available and recommended. As soon as she installed it, incoming hypertext links stopped working. That's why I have to do this little (I hope) project.

52.0.1 fixes the link issue - came out yesterday.

Thank you. Yes, I saw that other thread and made the change. I should have posted to that effect.
