Re: Thunderbird has block a file from loading into this mess

Post by PACarlier »

Same problem with my company logo in my signature (TB 52.2.1 (32 bits)).
I tried moving the file in another place as recommended by tanstaafl but it did not work.

I work for several companies having different signatures and logo...

Below my signature file (which is overly loaded because created in word...)

Thanks for any help

I don't use any quicktext or similar.
I have spent some years using around 40 templates for various groups/clubs.
They are in a mail directory, with the images, that Thunderbird recognises.
I click on the down arrow next to "Write" and choose from the list.
Now I have to go through the hassle of of having to allow my own images every time.
Thunderbird now is of no use to me, so I shall be looking for another email application.

I'm having the same problem with images. Actually, I need this solved because I'm using LaTeX It!, that generates images for math formulas. Now I have to click for each of these formulas, it's a real problem.

I found a weird fix for this. One of my image files was loading but the others were not.

The fix was <img src ="file:///H:/Pictures/logo.png">

putting the slash after the : seems to be all important!

I attempted to add an image to an outgoing e-mail from a cifs network file in my private network. I have reversed every mail.compose configuration option that seems remotely related to attachments, and it still won't include the image.

And I see here the moderator prefers to treat this latest gratuitous neat new 'feature' (that nobody in their right mind would want) as a bug, and require people to file a bug report.

I've already dumped Firefox. Guess its time to junk TBird as well.

It seems that the last update solved the LaTeX It! issue.

Thanks

I found a simple solution: I moved the signature file and image on my local main C: drive.
Can anyone check if this is a fix? I'm on Windows 10.

If that works for you then it’s a fix.
