Number in Junk and Trash folders?

Post by kking »

Are there supposed to be numerals alongside the Spam and Trash folders to let me know how may emails are in each folder?

Thanks, Kerry

The numbers in bold are only for new mail. I've seen them for the junk folder, but not trash. I wouldn't expect them for the trash folder since the message is actually a copy of the original.

Hi tanstasfl,

Thanks. I recall seeing numbers for the junk folder over a decade ago, it would be nice —otherwise we have to click the folder to see if anything's in it.

If you are using a IMAP account you might need to right click on the junk mail folder in the folder pane, select properties, and then check "when getting new messages for this account, always check this folder".
