Hi all,
I use Thunderbird on several Ubuntu Mate machines and use Mail Merge from a CSV file quite successfully.
The only problem I have is that I have to copy the CSV file to whatever machine I am using at the time because I can't find a way to reference a network file in the Mail Merge dialogue.
Is there any way of achieving this?
Am I missing something obvious?
It would make keeping the file up to date much easier to manage.
Thanks in advance for any pointers.
Regards
Clive

Re: Mail Merge from a CSV file on network (Linux)
Is the file on a file share (created using Samba)? If you can browse to the file from your systems file manager you normally should be able to specify the file in Thunderbird. What you can't do is just specify the location with a URL that starts with smb://. The file needs to be available via a mounted file system.
