How DO I Enable Both 'Threaded' and 'Grouped by Sort'?

Is there a way to sort mail by both 'threaded' and 'grouped by sort'? I like the 'threaded' sort cuz squeezes conversations together. And I like the 'grouped by sort' which groups by date. Is there any way I can have both at the same time?

Not that I'm aware of. You could try working around that by installing an add-on such as Thunderbird Conversations that "enables a conversation view". I was going to mention that you might need to apply a patch to get it to work with versions later than 48.* but I see in https://github.com/protz/thunderbird-co ... ssues/1192 that you're already aware of that.

I'm not aware of any other add-ons that you could try to get either of those sorts.

https://github.com/protz/thunderbird-co ... ions/pulls tells you of changes that have been uploaded to the repository, but not included yet in the latest build.
