Organizing mailboxes?

Post by milan64586 »

I moved from icloud mail, to gmail, and I was using, and will use Thunderbird as my default mail client for windows. After move to gmail, I noticed something that annoys me pretty much, so I need your help. Is it possible to rearrange these mailboxes, so that first mailbox "inbox", and last one "vazno" be under the same "gmail" mailbox, or even better if those, under the "gmail" mailbox move outside it and be in the straight line with "inbox" and "vazno"? Hope you understand what I want.

Refer to the IMAP section here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_Gmail_w ... illa_Suite

It's suggested to set the "IMAP server directory to [Gmail] to fix problems with how it lists folders in the folder pane."

Any difference?

Unfortunately I just noticed that this doesn't work for me. If I apply this solution, I have one folder missing. FOlder "vazno" is missing. :( Is there solution a for this?

If you right-click the account in the folder pane, Subscribe, Refresh, does the Vazno folder appear in the list to subscribe? Maybe you will have to undo the change to the server directory, move the Vazno folder to be under [Gmail], then redo the server setting.

That would probably work, but how can I move that folder under gmail?

Instead of 'move' by drag and drop of the folder, I would create a new folder, then drag and drop the messages from one folder to another.

Can you be a little more specific? Creating the folder where, how, by what?

Right-click an account, New Folder, or right-click a folder, New Subfolder. To reach the organization you want, it may work better by working on the Gmail website.
