See https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunde ... rs/?src=ss

Another possibility if you use POP accounts is to configure them to use a global inbox. That hides the accounts in the folder pane and has it use the "Local Folders" account instead for its messages. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Global_Inbox

What doesn't work? The add-on or global inbox?

I just re-arranged the order of the accounts using the add-on and TB 5.2.2.1. The key is to use the add-ons "restart Thunderbird" button after you move the accounts rather than manually exit and restart.

The add-on works with both POP and IMAP.
