Folders and Sub-folders

Post by rodhudson »

The Icons for the above seem to be identical, and with the same alignment.
Is there any way to change either to delineate the two of them ?

I'm trying avoid INBOX getting too full, and I gather that moving them into sub-folders is not the answer, as they are still part of the main Inbox folder.
But it would be good if separate folders looked different from sub-folders.

If possible !

Not so. Each folder and each folder exists on the hard drive as a separate file. Moving messages from the Inbox folder to a sub-folder of Inbox moves the data from one file to another.

As for alignment, if the sub-folders have been created by right clicking on the name of the parent folder (Inbox, for instance) and selecting "New sub-folder" that child/sub-folder should be indented from the parent in the folder list.

OK. Thanks for that. But I'm pretty sure that I was told a few years ago in this Forum, that moving messages into sub-folders was NOT the answer, as they are still over-loading the Inbox.

I will have to check back, and I may be wrong !

I often am !
Thanks.
