Win 7 64 bit
Thunderbird 45. Says 45.8 is available and I am on release channel? Is that for betas and how do i get off it?
The main problem is fonts. My default font is Arial. When compose or reply to an email it says serif,Arial (not installed.)i get that no matter what I make default. Also i want body text where paragraph is. see https://s8.postimg.org/etaqu9yet/tbird.jpg
Also under tools/options/dispaly/formatting/advanced /fonts and encodings /"fonts for" drop down there is no westerns option
Is there no way to upload screenshots here?

Current stable version is 52.1.1 (maybe 52.1.2 in some cases)
Arial should be available from the MS windows system, if you click on the small triangle to the right of the (not installed) there should be a substantial list of fonts.
Check your system and make sure Arial is available or see if there is an alternative name being used for the Arial font.

Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

Re: serif,Arial-or any font-(not installed.)
Thanks. Arial is there in the list beside the small triangle to the right of the (not installed) but it just goes back to not installed the next time i type. So for example if I typed ABCD and then click the small triangle/click on arial and it changes to Arial but when I type EFGH it goes back to serif,Arial (not installed.) ?Grumpus wrote:Current stable version is 52.1.1 (maybe 52.1.2 in some cases)

Solved it by installing version 52 over the older version. This can be closed .Thanks Grumpus
