G'day all,
Unfortunately I have allowed my email address to scatter itself far and wide and I wish to diminish the flow to my Inbox.
My wish, basically, is to have all but a VERY few emails go to junk for deletion. I would like to have them sorted in some fashion -- perhaps by "not being from --"? Can anyone advise me of a procedure which will achieve this?
Ciao

Re: Organising emails
I'm going to guess that your question relates to your use of Thunderbird, the email client, so I'll move this post from the support forum for Firefox, the browser, to the Thunderbird Support forum.
You may be able to get the organization you want by using Message Filters. See this article -- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/or ... ng-filters

DanRaisch has a good start.
Basically, decide what you want to keep and what you want to throw away and design rules accordingly.
For the junk folder:
– Right click on its name and select Properties.
– Under "Conservation rules", select: "Discard messages older than... 7 days"
That way, you'll still have time to retrieve messages that were wrongly discarded, but your Junk box won't overfill.
