I have noticed over the past week or so that when I am sending an email, I am having to re-enter my login password. I am using what I believe the most current version; 52.2.1
What has changed that might be causing this??

Re: Need to re-enter passowrd when sending an email
Probably nothing. The issue could be in your profile. Go to TOOLS > OPTIONS >SECURITY > PASSWORDS tab> SAVED PASSWORDS button and there you can delete any saved password for the SMTP server associated with that account. Restart Thunderbird to ensure that the stored password is cleared from memory. The next time you "Sendl" Thunderbird will ask for the password and you can check the box to remember the value.

Well...I do not want my password saved for my logon. Again, up intil a week or so ago I was able to logon, compose and send an email WITHOUT having to reenter my password. Something has changed somewhere that is now causing this

What's the text of the message you receive asking for the password?

Who is the email provider? Perhaps they've changed their access requirements to call for a separate SMTP password.
