Not for Windows unless you are willing to use the daily channel (meant for testers). The supposed advantage of a 64 bit build is better performance but the difference so far is marginal. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/64_bit_builds

Going by https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbi ... uirements/, there is no 64bit Thunderbird:killz wrote:Wondering, if theres 64 bit thunderbird yet.
Please note that while the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7 can be used to run Thunderbird, only 32-bit builds of Thunderbird are supported at this time.

Re: 64 Bit thunderbird available?
Unlike where 64-bit builds were needed for Mac OSX and Linux the need for Win64 builds is not so much since the 32-bit builds can work fine.

Any update on 64 bit builds, now that 60 is officially released, and newer versions are getting closer?

Re: 64 Bit thunderbird available?
The Win64 builds of Thunderbird 60.0 are Not officially supported which is why they are not listed on https://www.thunderbird.net/thunderbird/all/
Thunderbird changed it's build process to move it into line with the Firefox process. A side effect is a 64bit build appearing in the release folders by accident.
Win64 Releases of Thunderbird may not be officially supported until next year. So use that Win64 Thunderbird 60.0 at your own risk.

Re: 64 Bit thunderbird available?
James, I installed TB 60.0 (64-bit) yesterday on my Windows 10 64-bit system, before I saw your comment about it being not officially supported. But, today I received a security and feature update to TB 60.2.1 (64-bit) and TB states that I am on the release channel.
So, I am wondering what you meant by the 64-bit version of TB not being officially supported.

It means several things, including but not limited to:
* It isn't feature complete - somethings are known to not work, and there is currently no rush to fix them
* 64bit builds don't get manual testing before we ship, like we do for our other builds
* There isn't an update path to automatically move users from 32bit to 64bit
* Bug reports specific to 64bit, if any, may not get the much attention compared to other bug reports

Re: 64 Bit thunderbird available?
The [Tracking meta bug] officially support Windows 64-bit builds in Thunderbird bug report seems to only list one bug report about broken features - that SimpleMAPI doesn't work. There is also Enable-32bit-to-64bit-migration, but that is against the installer (not Thunderbird).wsmwk wrote:> So, I am wondering what you meant by the 64-bit version of TB not being officially supported.

Are there any others? If so, please point me to them. I'd like to document them in http://kb.mozillazine.org/64_bit_builds
