Silvermel

Post by ep2012 »

Ok, WOW, I've narrowed down one of the issues. It's Silvermel.

When I did a clean install I didn't go to the latest version, I went to 45.8.0 just b/c a lot of my add-ons AND silvermel were needed. I LOVE that theme :(

So I think what happened is a month or two ago I updated TB which I didn't have on automatic updates b/c of Silvermel.

I did the Silvermel hack a while ago & thought it would still work.

Well I guess it's been causing problems, but now I can't uninstall it b/c I'm getting a white area under "appearance." :(

Help

Are you running Thunderbird in Mozilla Safe Mode when you are trying to remove that theme?

I just installed it with TB 52.3.0 and it seems to be working okay. I did have to tell it the add-on manager to ignore the fact its not supported.

Try upgrading TB to the latest version. If you don't like that version you might be able to uninstall Silvermel, uninstall TB, and then re-install the version of TB you want. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Go_back_to_an ... hunderbird

However, it would be simplest just to delete silvermel*.xpi in the extensions subdirectory in the profile.

Yes, we renamed all the extensions files & got back in that way.

Can you please help me with this thread of mine. I really need to know what to do.
