Using Windows 7
Thunderbird 52.3.0

This command brings up a Thunderbird "write" window:

start /b thunderbird.exe -compose "to='',subject='Message Subject',preselectid='',body='Message Body'"

To send the message, I have to click on Send.

Is there a way for a batch script to get Thunderbird to send the message without displaying the "write" window, and hence without requiring a click on Send?

You can generate the email from the command line, but Thunderbird still requires the send button to be clicked.

You might try something like this:

echo y | start /b mail.exe -compose "to='',subject='Message Subject',preselectid='',body='Message Body'"

Some additional information: ... our-inbox/
