Thread view issue of sourceforge discussion messages

Hi, it looks like Thunderbird thread view has some problems about showing sourceforge's discussion messages, all the messages with the different titles are shown in a single thread, see the screen shot below in the inbox:

While I see in Gmail's web view, those email messages are in two threads, see image below:


The even bad thing is if I use the "conversation" add-on for the Thunderbird, a single conversation thread view contains many old messages which are already achieved.

So, how to solve this problem, is there any options I can tweak under Thunderbird about thread view? Thanks.

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Stop_threading_by_subject for the different ways of specifying whether a message is part of a thread. Perhaps you need to tweak those settings.

Let me tweak those settings, but generally those setting(I believe the default setting) works OK, expect the email messages from Sourceforge discussions.

It looks like Sourceforge's discussion messages are all have the same References(In-Reply-To) ID string, so as thunderbird use this ID to sort the emails, thus the emails are in the same thread, this is mostly an issue from Sourceforge.
